We believe that marriage is a distinct and unique relationship that benefits those involved and the rest of society through providing a secure and loving environment within which children can safely be conceived and nurtured.
In Christian marriage, vows of fidelity are made before God, whose help and blessing is sought and around whom the relationship is centred. For this reason, we normally encourage Christian couples to marry in the church that knows them and can actively pray and support them through their early years.
We encourage anyone getting married to take part in a marriage preparation course.
