Protecting Children

As a church we are committed to placing a priority on promoting the safety and well-being of children and young people.  We have a robust safeguarding policy and a great team working to ensure that children are safe at HBC.  Please get in touch if you would like to see a copy of the safeguarding policy.

Our saefguarding measures include following a safer recuritment process and ensuring that all people working with children and young people have been subject to a check under the Disclosure and Barring Service check and have completed appropriate safeguarding training.

We are also members of 31:8 who provide us with safeguarding training and support.

Who should I contact if I have a question or concern about safeguarding at HBC?

  • Safeguarding Lead: Shirleen Keane. You can contact Shirleen here.
  • Deputy Safeguarding Lead: Helen McNamara.  You can contact Helen here.
  • Safeguarding Trustee: John Forster.  You can contact John here.
