'Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children.' (Mark 10:14)
We love having children and youth in our church and seek to make Sunday mornings fun and engaging for them. Our aim is that all of the young people in our church come to understand the love of God for themselves and develop their own relationship with Jesus.
Our Sunday morning children's and youth groups take place during the 10am service. The children join in the first part of the service for family worship before going out to their separate groups. Our younger two children's groups take place in our church building on Arch Road and our two youth groups take place in Hersham Youth Centre, which is opposite the church. Parents should take children across the road to their groups and collect them at the end of the service (approx. 11.15am).
The sessions all involve a mixture of worship, games, a focus on the BIble, prayer, activities and reflection time.
Our children's and youth groups are split into the following age groups:
- Explorers: for children in year 2 and under;
- Adventurers: for children in years 3-5;
- Younger youth: for young people in years 6 and 7; and
- Older youth: for young people in years 8 to 11.
